National Awards Purpose & Procedures

PURPOSE:

The CEM National Awards for Excellence are given to honor the teachers, youth and children’s pastors, and Royal Rangers commanders who model excellence in ministry. Awards are given in the following four categories: Karl W. Bunkley Teacher of the Year (Sunday School/ Discipleship Ministry), Youth Pastor of the Year (Youth Ministry), Children’s Pastor of the Year (Children’s Ministry), and Royal Rangers Commander of the Year (Royal Ranger commanders).


PROCEDURES FOR NOMINATIONS:

Person submitting nomination:

1.      Complete the Local Church Nomination Form.

2.      Write a letter in your own words stating why your nominee should be considered (double-spaced, one to two pages in length). Please see the 7-point questionnaire for criteria to include in your nomination letter.

3.      Submit your nomination form and letter of recommendation to your local CE Director and/or Pastor. 

The local CE Director and pastor will select the local recipient. The local winner will be forwarded to the conference CEM office for conference eligibility. Each conference winner will be eligible to compete for the National Award for Excellence in their category on the national level. 

Any person who is involved in the instructional ministry at the local level in a church, affiliate, or church-type mission of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is eligible.

Entries on each level should be received by the date listed below:

Local Level – March 15

Conference Level – May 1

National Level – June 15

 

Recognition of the national winners will be announced at the Youth Quest/Fine Arts Festival in July.
